4 Reasons Chocolate is THE Go-To Valentine’s Day Gift

Chocolate has always said ‘I love you!’. But high flavanol chocolate says it like never before!

Here are four great reasons to give high flavanol chocolate this Valentine’s Day (or any other day for that matter)!

1. Chocolate is an Aphrodisiac

It worked for the Aztecs. Centuries later it worked for European royalty. And according to a recent study, it’s working today!

A study of 25,000 men found those consuming the highest amount of flavonoids in their diet had significantly lower rates of ED! And, in addition to flavanols, chocolate contains phenylethylamine, a stimulant released in the brain when people fall in love❤.

2. Chocolate is Good for the Heart

What better gift for the special someone who makes your heart beat fast, than helping to keep their heart beating strong! Seems like new studies are published almost monthly showing how cocoa flavanols improve circulation while lowering blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol!

In fact, a landmark study of cocoa flavanols conducted at the University of Dusseldorf in Germany predicted a 31% reduction in the risk of heart attack among healthy, middle-aged adults.

3. Chocolate Can Boost Mood

Chocolate makes us happy! For real! In a recent survey of 2,000 American women, 85% reported that chocolate makes them happy. And in another recent study, high flavanol cocoa increased calm and contentedness among participants relative to a placebo.

Chocolate also contains tryptophan, which causes the release of serotonin, a neurotransmitter strongly associated with boosting mood. And… eating chocolate releases endorphins (yup, the same ones released when we exercise), which are known to decrease stress!

4. Everyone LOVES Chocolate!
